AC linear servo motor direct drive feed technology has become mature. CNC machine tool feed drives have "high-speed rotary servo motor and precision ball screw" and the "linear brushless motor direct drive" two types. Traditional ball screw technology maturity process is in high precision, and the cost of high achieving the speed relatively is low, so now it is widely used. Using the roll, bead screw-driven high-speed machine tool’s maximum speed is 90m/min, the acceleration is 1.5g. But the ball screw is mechanical transmission; there is the elastic deformation, friction and backlash between Mechanical components and the corresponding movement will cause delay and nonlinear error, so it further increases the speed and acceleration of ball screw.
